Leaning on Dad

one thirty phone call
legless teenage son in need -
dad's taxi deployed

falling up the stairs
legless teenage son in need -
dad's support required

incoherent sounds
legless teenage son in need -
dad's patience tested

vomiting in bath
legless teenage son in need -
dad's memories stirred

falling out of bed
legless teenage son in need -
dad's muscles tested

sleeping in stupor
legless teenage son in need -
dad's constant vigil

long sleepless night
tired exhausted dad in need -
full day's work beckons

What People Were and What People Are

People were
Many things.
Strange or not

People were
Different and
Odd and fun.

People were
Monsters but…
That’s not all

People were
And still are
Strange and odd.

People are
People. For
life is life.

Yet not.
Not is lies.
Truth seeps from

Every mouth
Lies, lies, lies
Move, move, move

But somehow
Lies prevail.
Lies are life.

Lies are death.
Lies are homes.
Lies are pain.

Lies are truth.
Yet somehow.
Truth prevails.

Truth is life.
Truth is death.
Truth is home.

Truth is pain.
Truth is lie.
Truth is that.

Lies will die.
Lies will cease.
Nevermore.

Truth will live.
Truth will be.
Forever.

Eleven

Eleven

Sad heart breaks in two.
A walk with pain, sorrow, death,
unbearable pain.
Daddy snatched away from her.
Scared, defenceless, eleven.

My Family

Five long decade past
Two unique souls become one
Create nine off springs

Differ in nature
Attain success though deprive
Unjust ridicule

Loving father rest
Siblings help one another
Eldest do his part

Mother love persists
Take good care of her children
Struggle is normal

Teaching to be still
Poverty cant halt fulfillment
Happiness goes through

Everyone has choice
Take and finish course at once
Make each dream come true

Love and light in us
Sharing them all to mankind
Noble task to do.

COME SEPTEMBER MY HEART BLED

Darlingest baby
I have found your Barby doll
your daddy's last gift

Fire,splinters,dust
Embedded in the first cell
Shattered rosy womb

Mom broke her promise
Daddy says no she did not
She only loved you

A Desired Togetherness

Mom's deep sanctity
contrasted with daddy's shameless
immorality.

Four beautiful girls,
one handsome boy could have made
a great family.

Mom was a lovely
and religious woman who
taught us to love God.

Dad was unkind to her,
and for our sake she remained
in a sad marriage.

The lust he had for
his mistress took him away
from his five children.

What we all needed was
a desired togetherness,
that strong bond of trust.

Growing up was hard
with the absence of his love,
we felt so deprived.

More than my sisters,
his denial of affection
effected my outlook.

I lacked confidence,
the support other boys had,
I felt so unwanted.

I missed his warm hugs,
his laughter in my birthdays...
the pride in his son.

In the womb of nature,
Fight on still, and don’t give up
A life is waiting!

LITTLE ONE

To what may I most worthily compare
The tinier, fatter fingers of this newborn?
To breathe of softness his delicate fingers
Which by one definition one is able
To swallow one by one like cherry-flower snow!

Father

The sun bitter cold
Down my cheek is tragedy
My soul sits in pain

Mind in dark shadows
Seeking last light perfect blooms
To make tangible

Heart drifts with a cloud
Blemishes fade on the wind
He was perfection
