No chance of rain tonight,
No bogeyman, when I turn off the lights.
A phrase I found and adore with the warmth of your security.
You are the reason I attain true maturity.
I love when you lay down next to me,
Like the high tide of the sea,
You move all the warm emotions inside.
My arms are the comfort you use to seek and hide.
Your nestle holds a true rhythm that hums its own song~
Nothing comes close to breaking this precious bond~
A sweet cradle-song only I hear,
You play my grin, without the strings of a puppeteer.
My heartbeat needs its fix and drug,
Your sweet, charming smiles and hug,
Is all I need to succeed,
You are, my only creed!
A kiss, I give on your forehead,
Into a poet’s world where your blanket a dulcet lullaby,
my arms are your bed.

Ah, the time when we begin
Brother to brother skin to skin
I got here first and you know why
I got her first to watch over you guy!
Sometimes, I think that Ma likes you better
BUT hey, you’re in a diaper, she’s knittin’ me a sweater!
Then I think “Hmmm” you’re getting all the cuddles
But, but, you can’t go out and splash in puddles.
I’m your BIG brother, you’re my best fan
No ones better than you bro you’re the man.
Brother to brother, skin to skin
Ah, the time when we begin.

I met her by chance on an Instagram post
A ravishing blonde, of which I now boast
Hard to say why she did it, how she fell in love
Maybe it was me going to Korea, that gave her a shove
Whatever the case, a ring she did buy
Only a month after I had first said hi
The insane part I was over 7,000 miles away,
Yet I still set the girls heart on fire, day by day
Soon she told me soon we’d be wed
Side by side, all warm in the same bed
I yearn for that now, for I know she has my heart
And I hate the distance, the being apart
I cry night by night, for I’m in love with my baby
There’s no ifs ands or buts, theres no maybe
She is all mine, and I want her near
She is my baby I want her here
I’m loyal as can be, I sit and do wait
For the day I’m with her, oh it’ll be great
To finally see the woman that captured my soul
To finally see the woman who makes me whole.

Rose exquisitely you colour
my every wish silken touches jewels
When a dream comes true
from the flames blushing petals
Sweetest dove loving cotton shades the warmness
blue crowns baby hues Heaven's aura circles
Beholding from a heart it's fragrance lingers
kissed moistly by the foggy dew

Hush, hush, li'l bro, mama will come soon,
Let's fly till then and touch the full moon,
Hush, hush, li'l bro, just look at our hands,
Let's fly together to far-off lands,
Hush, hush, li'l bro, let's fly hand airplanes,
We'll stay united till life remains,
Hush, hush, li'l bro, won't you close your eyes?
Come, fly with us 'bove those bright blue skies?
Hush, hush, li'l bro, we both love you deep,
We'll play with you till you fall asleep.

I’d have whispered “you're daddy's little boy,”
snuggled in my arms, filling me with joy.
We'd of explored mountain caves, parks and glades,
snapping pictures when you first stood on blades.
And we'd have gazed up at the stars above,
feeling secure in the bond of our love.
And together we'd have journeyed the earth,
embracing the miracle of your birth.
If only we had more time...
I would have told you of the golden rule,
teaching subtle lessens, not taught in school.
And during your early, formative years,
I would've eased your hurts, and wiped your tears.
You'd have entered your teens chasing your dreams,
standing defiant in your torn blue jeans.
And we would have discussed the birds and bees,
learning about life, as we skinned our knees.
If only we had more time...
My heart would have filled with a father's pride,
as you knelt at the altar with your bride.
Gentle tears saved to bless your wedding day,
are unable to wash my grief away.
Less than a year among those who love you,
we’re gathered today to wish you adieu.
I think of the many things we'd have done,
and how very much I love you my son.
If only we had more time...

I held you in my arms for the very first time,
Elated my son was perfect, he was simply sublime.
New life that I had pushed into the world,
Precious baby, oh how my emotions whirled.
With light blonde hair and eyes of blue
I fell in love the very second I saw you
Home from hospital, oh how our lives changed
Took its toll on us - our sleep pattern rearranged!
It is quite challenging getting used to being a new mum
I wouldn’t have changed a moment with my precious son
Everyday you flourished I was amazed how quickly you grew
Crawling, walking ,talking there was always something new
I was very lucky and didn’t get the baby blues
You were so adorable, didn’t have the terrible twos
You adored reading books and sitting next to me
Friends would come to visit and you’d play happily
You slept with your teddy he was called ‘Blue’
We had a duplicate teddy...but you never knew!
How quickly the years passed, oh how time flies
It’s over twenty years since I sang you lullabies
From toddler to teenager you were our pride and joy
I am truly blessed to have such an amazing boy
At school you thrived and passed your qualifications
Then worked in computers, traveling to far off locations
Now you are away from home studying for your degree
When you graduate the proudest mum in the world will be me!
You fill our lives with laughter and joy,
I love you so much my wonderful boy.

Who am I?
Am I defined by what is near in sight?
Am I defined by what I have done,
Or am I defined by what I could become?
Perhaps I'm of no use.
To him, or her, or I, nor you.
Or perhaps I'm too misunderstood to be defined,
And it is something like understanding that comes in time.
And if to the world I'm never shown,
Yet in my own light I've grown and grown,
And so I can know no happiness but my own--
The reason for my smile, to you, will forever be unknown.
I do not pray for the world to know my name.
For it and verse; the letters are the same.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads,
I pray his pain my words to keep.
Should his eyes rain on my page,
Better tears than storms of rage.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads.
I pray his pain my words to keep.
And if to the world you're never shown,
Yet in your own light you've grown and grown,
And so you know no happiness but your own.
Let the reason for your smile, to you, only be known.

This struggle he has, is oh so real...
Not given s fair shake,
Handed a raw deal.
Mistreated, lied upon, and constantly abused.
No wonder, he's angry, and sometimes confused.
Unable to trust, and let down his guard,
Being a black man, must be oh, so hard.
Constantly having to validate his worth,
That beautiful black skin, must seem like a curse.
And though I love him, as only a black woman can,
I must admit, I don't always understand,
The pressures, the hardships and struggles of the black man.
But through his struggles, he is my king,
And for his love, I wouldn't trade a thing!
He settles my uneasiness, and he holds my hand,
He picks me up, when I'm unable to stand.
He comforts me, when my heart is torn,
Renews my confidence when it is worn,
A role model and father, he will always be,
For the little ones that grow inside of me.
Life's struggles are just a test,
The black man's no quitter,
He gives the fight his best.
Although you struggle,
your resilience will make great.
One day you will be on top, black man...
This is your undeniable fate!

I look all around and what do I see?
Christmas in code, a pure fantasy.
A plump happy Santa, a child on his knee
Under the bough of a tall Christmas tree.
Stockings and ribbons, merry and bright
Plenty of gifts of varying heights.
Snowmen and reindeer, angels and lights
Dreaming of feasting and sleigh rides at night.
But friend, don't be taken with this imagery
For Christmas is more than what we can see.
True Christmas began in a whole different way
A virgin, a stable, a babe on the hay.
And God with a plan, to save men from sin
A Savior, a gift for mankind, sent from Him.
A humble beginning, no earthly delights
He broke through the darkness and gave us the Light.
So do not be fooled by this fanciful sight
That does not remember God's power that night.
He conquered our sin and freed us from death
For Christmas is CHRIST, and His gift is the best.

for ten long years they waited to hold a baby close,
ten long years hopes were slated, each baby they did lose.
met a lovely obstetrician who had a brand new toy,
one that would help the couple to have that girl or boy.
another year they tried until that magic moment when
the line was there in the tester, brought their hopes alive again
nine months she was nurtured, not allowed to do this or that,
the ring on the calender approached a time I wont forget.
tears of hope were on their faces knew this was the final chance,
all was hush as the dad paced, then we saw the blade and clamps.
all was over in a moment hauled out of the mothers womb
a protesting mucky baby, saw a lady glow and bloom
they now have a daughter, called her Faith of which they had,
tears now are tears of laughter no more time to be sad.

From sleeping through the whole night,
To cutting your first tooth to bite,
From watching you roll over,
To hearing your first word 'MUMMA',
From watching you crawl commando,
To seeing your first steps solo,
Your Nan has spent time with you nearly everyday,
And to be honest would have it no other way,
I've rocked you to sleep time after time,
Had you when you're sick giving your Mum piece of mind,
Cuddled you when you've been sad,
And told you 'No' when you've been bad,
Laughed with you when we've been playing,
Praised you when you're not misbehaving,
Just in one year you've developed at such speed,
First year milestones you've passed indeed,
Your presence is infectious you can't ignore,
Obviously an old soul you've been here before,
I think you've been sent to teach all of us,
Cause you're the perfect example of unconditional love.

Three years younger, little brother of mine,
only the two of us...that was just fine.
While just an infant, was a dolly for me.
We, with our parents, made our family.
Years went by fast, and soon he became
a playmate for me to make life a game.
We lived in the country, no kids around;
just had each other with yard our playground.
We played hide and seek and games of all sorts;
some we made up, and others were sports.
Through make-believe...no computers, TV...
we'd find ways to play and keep company.
We leaned on each other through work and play;
little brother back then...grown man today.
Now a 'big brother' who watches for me;
our bond will stay close, that's our guarantee.

For my little boy,
who brings me so much pride and joy.
He captured my heart,
but then he did from the start.
It is really quite simple,
with his smile and his dimple.
I will be sad when he grows up,
but there is one thing I am sure of.
He will always be mine,

Clean my booboo,
Lovely chocolate, all over my face.
Eating chocolate with my face.
I want chocolate in my bottle please.
I want you to look at my chocolate colored teeth
Dark chocolate out of place.
I eat chocolate with my face.
I want to eat chocolate instead of food.
Chocolate chocolate is very good.
I’ll eat all the chocolate found in a candy bar.
I want to swim in a chocolate filled jar.
I wish to eat chocolate all day long.
Eating chocolate along with my favorite twinkle twinkle song.

I watch him how he talks to her.
He pleases her without demur.
He hasn't said one cruel word,
As if he lives in angels' world.
He is indeed a walking one.
He is naive and full of fun.
I feel ashamed when him I see,
Show greater love than poor me.
I've always thought I love her more,
Than words can tell or explore.
He loves his mom beyond compare.
I haven't seen such love and care.
I think he has no equal teacher,
Although he is a tiny creature.
I love to watch this kind of love.
This is my child I'm so proud of.

Daddy, mommy, why are you laying me down on the grave?
I was dreaming before that you’ll be putting me in my cozy crib.
Are you so remorseful and that's the reason you are crying?
I’m only five months old trying to understand your feeling.
You got married so young and you didn’t know what to do
You didn’t take care of me in your womb but, still I love you so.
I was dreaming and wishing you to nurture me with your love
Give all the things I need until I grow and make you proud.
I am so deeply wounded, but I forgive you with what you did
I’ll just be your little angle to guide you both and your next kid.
As we bid goodbye then , bring with you my shattered dreams
I do plead, to my brothers or sisters make them whole again.
Daddy, mommy, thank you so much for my very beautiful name
Don’t forget your Baby Shalom whose love will forever be the same.

Hush sweet baby please don’t cry
I’ll sing you a love sweet lullaby
Never mind the boogie in your head
Come lay on top of your silken bed
Sweep out things you can’t understand
As I play this song on the Baby grand
You are quite special can’t you see
Many try to change like you to be
So never think any less of your self
Please come back being the naughty elf
Come let me sip water coconuts
From the word palm tree besots
You have slept long enough
Grab your pillows shake and fluff
It’s just not the same without you
Please don’t send me to sleep too

Miles away from the train rail track-
Baby girl lets not look back-
Walk with me, lets go as two-
And baby sing the sunset blues-
Don't worry bout the distance dear-
Anywhere with you seems all so near-
Now honey we can come as two-
And baby sing the sunset blues-
Now you left me by the train rail track-
With nothing else but to look back-
I look up high and think of you-
And by myself I sing my sunset blues-

I walk through the forest in the evening mist. The
A thousand times I've strode this path, now lost to the falling of the leaves.
Yet each step I take is a memory to me, as I walk through the recess of time.
Where adrift in this wood I will never be, as I search for my life's paradigm.
Yes, the rust on the gate bleeds red again, like
It drips from each frozen hinge to the earth, where all it touches it stains.
I placed you here on a dark winter night, on your cheek a kiss I gave,
and the white of your corpse like the glow of the moon shined bright as you lay in
The vines grow strong in this lonely place, where
Here I laid you to rest in this horrible way without even knowing your name.
Beneath the weeds, beneath the brambles, beneath a single red rose,
beneath a cold dark slab you lie, in a place where nobody knows.
Where the stone above you lies to all, for it bares another's name,
your motionless body your mother expelled and
It was another place and another time and no one could know you came.
Now my mournful tears drip on your tomb, changing nothing, it's all the same.
So rest my sweet little bastard child whose life you could never live,
and in the end, I swear to God, to you my soul I will give.

In the blink of an eye and remorse far away
Your wavering heart blistered away my loving years
Your verbal pleasantries seem to mock
Your artful facade with a serpentine sting
In the beatific moments your need was me
We spent lucid loving hours spent at comfortable ease
New beginnings became easy with me to shield
You climbed my inherited ladders in splendid guise
I spruced the hearth and kept it warm with crystalline cheer
Your eyes, I fear, I couldn't fathom as I tucked our babes to bed
Now you fumble with your deceitful heart to temper me
When unchartered hours were gambled away with a seductive lass
Trust exploded in my rose quartz heart
When I saw you two cooing by mere accident
Your pitched frequency of dilly dallying
No more resonates with my simplicity
Our winsome fairy tale has ended
And your wilful satiric tale has begun
The charisma of ethereal love is poised on
Drooling actions and not on banal promises

That little linen doll from December
She gave me with her heart, I remembered.
By her tiny hands thus not as perfect
But ‘twas a memory I couldn’t neglect.
My little baby really tried her best,
I saw her stitching at night without rest.
And when that needle jabbed her soft, white skin,
She’d be strong, hid her tears with a large grin.
Then that day had come, her doll was finish
December twenty-fifth, I would not wish,
The Lord took her away, out on the street.
Just a young child, her youth’s still incomplete.
As we pull her out from the twisted wreck
Wrapped in her arms, something I wouldn’t expect.
There held in tight, her little linen doll...
The picture was so vast, I must recall.
I will never forget, that fateful night,
When the angels sang to the blinding light
But she is gone, what’s the use of regrets?
What was left will always be in my chest.
Our memories and times we were together,
Sewn in her doll, sealed by her endeavor.
Though the doll and my baby have come to past,
They remain in my heart, forever to last.

Each new baby, at the moment of birth,
is weighed, measured, and gauged for worth.
Grandparents, their happiness cannot hide,
while parents beam and swell with pride.
Our Father sanctions each new creation,
smiling at the joy, joining the celebration.
Lucifer, also, smiles and claps with glee,
chortles with evil intent, This one's for me.

Gobs of happiness, bundles of joy!
My sister turned out to be a boy
Mom said, “Welcome your little brother!”
She'd been promising me the other
You know! EEEW... a baby sister!
Imagine if I had to kiss her!
Thanks to the stork way up high
If Mom had a girl, I'd probably die!
Sisters don't wrestle or play with guns
They play with dollies, have girlie fun
Glad the way things have turned out
Us guys are buds, there's really no doubt!
I know! I realize they're people too
In fact, some are cute, this is true
But if you're gonna give me my druthers
I would much prefer a baby brother!
The moral is, if you eat your veggies
Your Mom will be happy and never edgy
A contented Mom will usually bear fruit
With a baby boy who'll be cuter than cute!
These are the words of a real little boy
Who won't even try to hide his joy!
He comes right out, it's not a quiz
Boys are superior and that's how it is!

A doze of love to take away sadness
A simple smile that lights up the sky

Her emotions went raw
her skin showed an aura her features not a flaw.
Her moods always changed in her stomach felt a pain
She ran at practice in the rain
Until her stomach gave a lurch
and she became in search
Her test showed a plus in pink
Her tears fell helplessly into the white sink.
She cried in fear and in confusion
She prayed every night it was a dream, an allusion.
three months later our school began to see her belly change
her control that was once over her life disappeared out of her range.
I held her hair while she pucked in the early light
I helped her eat right and learn to stay strong and fight.
My best friend suffered ridicule and rumors for a good 7 months or more
She was called so many things, mainly a whore.
I helped her locate the father and tell him the news
He said "you snooze ya loose."
But I love her to death, even now as she holds 1 year old Adam in her arms

Happiness reached at its height,
When i held her in my arms tight.
Never seen or felt this beautiful sight,
Life for me was full of light.
Every moment spent with my angel,
Shew away my worries that bundle.
Her smile and instant expressions,
Beat even the computer's suggestion.
The baby talk, story time,
The toddler walk, nursery rhyme,
Little princess then went to study,
Heavy bags on shoulders tiny,
Challenges she faced in my shadow,
Got rough tough to face the tornado.
Graceful, mature, a teenager she is,

Beauty lamented when faced with that babyface
O do give me more loveliness, with red lace!
Such innocent eyes,
Cunning and wise!
The age of that baby girl
Revolved around two in our world
Yet, she was an attractive one
Charming one, magnetic one
None could get jealous of her beauty
Except beauty itself in all simplicity
If she was hungry, she ate like a bird
If she was thirsty, she drank only curd
If she fell while running, she stood and smiled
If she cried, her surroundings made her not feel exiled!
Dressed in her favourite red dress,
She listened to old stories on her mattress
And fell in deep slumber while dreaming of the Lord
And how it is like in his peaceful abode!
At two, this cute babyface, surrounded with black hair
Could only jump and exalt at life without any care!

Uther, the High king of England
fell in love with the Lady Igraine
Knowing she was married to Gorlois
he decided to fight the walrus
For he was the Duke of Tintagel
that Uther wanted to mangle
‘Thus he defeated his enemy’
and took her, his wife to be
The High King delighted to tell
of Merlin’s magical spell
How he’d become Gorlious in disguise
and fooled the Lady Igraine to socialize
Tintagel castle was full of joy
celebrating the birth of a baby boy
‘Twas Arthur they had named him’
a bonnie baby small and slim
They lived in a dangerous time
where Saxons attacked without sign
So Uther gave his son for safety
to his immortal wizard thats greatly
In time Merlin fostered him away
to Sir Ectors where he would stay
Raised in the Cornwall countryside
where he grew strong and very wise
He grew up with his foster brother Kay
not knowing his real parents any way
He didn’t know he was heir to the throne
until later when it became known
King Uther died and no one knew
about His son that should over rule
So arguments broke out everywhere
who should be King, who would dare
But Merlin had a cunning plan
to make Arthur take a stand
For he was the true king and heir
a kingdom he would rule and fair
A mysterious stone magically appeared
in St.Paul’s cathedral, in the garden rear
Extending out, was a huge sword
a message inscribed to my Lord
Whoever pulls this sword from the stone
will be the rightful High King of England’s throne
