The Love of "Fall"

F alling in love with Winter; she’s ice cold dressed in snow white lace
A ll the while dating Summer, who’s still sizzling hot
L ove affairs bruised with revengeful reds, oppressed oranges, and yelling yellows
L eaving Summer with a promise to one day rekindle their love

Mediterranean island, where one finds so much to do
Abundant days of sunshine and the sea is limpid blue
Lavender, thyme and laurel; history spreads in rich galore
The temples, feasts, devotion bring religion to the fore.
Acclaimed for fruit and honey and the fish that’s brought to shore.

This is a friendly nation; you’ll be welcomed by a toast
To the best of health intended to last long while she’s your host.

Oceans and Oceans etc for Victor

"Oceans and Oceans etc"

Only within your arms
can make the day complete
Everything breathes for
along the tides and shore
never misses a beat
so with you I'll remain

A whisper that calls
names everything you are
Dreamland at its best

On a given day
cancers are removed
Each moment spent with you
along the sky seagulls know
navigating your world
somehow soothes the soul

Enchanting pink pearls
touches of scattered shells
caress your golden sands

SkyWatcher - 04-24-17

The above entry was written in dedication to Victor Buhagiar
It was inspired by words in his review to "raindrops"
Thus this entry is all his fault (lol)
Victor I truly wrote this so fast just now
I don't even know if it makes sense
thank you for sharing the ocean with me

Easter Joy!

E aster! Born of ultimate love!

A Lamb, unblemished, laid down and died

Beach Blanket Bingo

B raving the sweltering summer sun

A way from parents and dull city life
C hasing dreams without the pressures of strife
H anging together on white sandy beach

A lone with true love sends heart a flutter
N othing is better than moment alone
K nowing salty sea spray is all your own

O ccassional lone porpoise leaps nearby….

Out of the Blue

Suddenly, silently,
in the depths of an azure ocean
they appear from out of the blue,

Hearts beat faster
as we are surrounded and fear makes
	adrenalin course through our veins

As one, we watch them
        glide gracefully around us, and
one can’t help but feel the

Reverence and wonder of
        being among these menacing,
	 magnificent creatures, these

Killers of the seas; glorious
natural predators, often vilified for their nature,
and who to many, are misunderstood

Suddenly, silently, just as they came,
they disappear back into the blue
leaving nought, but a sense of loss.

Soft sun and gentle rain
Penetrate earth’s mantle
Rejuvenating life, long dormant
In winter’s grasp;
Nature wakes and a new
Generation of life begins.

Into the Blue

Into the Blue Into the heartbeat of the blue sea of crystal glass Never calm, but constantly moving rippling water Truly mysterious in its grandeur surpass beauty Obedient to unimaginable fathoms depth ~ Thirsty for the kiss of helpless sandy shores the waves drift on Her heavenly breast with luscious relaxing sounds and Endless scent of the briny cool breeze ~ Blue sea merges into the rising blue horizon Liquescent sunset of dissolving view closes the day Under the shadow of the drifting shapeless clouds Effortlessly inviting twilight completing the dark blue night

Dar-es-Salaam Harbour

Dar harbour full of teeming life
A mass of colourful ships and boats
Radiant do your waters gleam

Each wave gently lapping the shore
Sails fluttering in the breeze

Slowly yet violently the yachts jib
As they sail and tack against the wind
Loud blast out the ships horns
As the tugs pilot them to sea or dock
And the gulls screech diving in their wakes
Many colourful dhows sail in to moor

Hot breezes on my face
As midday temperatures soar
Raising our sails we float
Bringing our bows into the wind
Out to sea we are headed
Under full sail we skim the waves
Ready for what ever adventures await

An Acrostic "Slap of the Glove".......

Goodness knows the greed involved
Unwilling to admit, unable to proceed
Life on this fragile rock totters
For we have never fouled the nest like this
Oceanic trauma, on a voyage, east then north
Ice, blue-clean, beauty, dead before the march of black gold
Listing heavily to one side, we're taking on what used to be only water

Smug arrogance put us here
Plans within plans have failed
Ill-gotten were the riches, ill-tended were the fields
Laddie, grab a pail and bail for all you're WORTH!
Let's just all hope they're not setting the price on that too!!!!

What Is Under The Waves -Acrostic

Warnings on the shore throw red flags at danger
Hail stones make noise on planks in anger
Attack the pirate ships that crash the lifeless rocks
The ice by now turns into rain but can't turn back

It matters not to nature that they came this way
Sailors can't see or read the color red from nights mistakes

Under the cloak of darkness observations make them blind
Nautical naivety is mean to those who have no sight to see
Drowning in new depths of ignorance
Eager to look the other way as ships collide and break
Regardless of what rocks and waves might have to say

The land will carry on with mischief
Hard objects like rocks and hail don't move alone in storms
Even though they take their toll on men and what they own

Who tries to walk on water to understand the granite black?
At dusk the damage is irrevocable on the rocks
Vulnerabilities, agendas, exposed above the surface roll
Every ship will have to pay a price when seas arise
Silence will be floating among the splinters and debris at night

Polyphagia on board

Polyphagia on board is forbidden and not welcome ---------- when
Everybody knows that should we ran out of food ---------- crickets
Probably will not feed us anyhow and most of us will ---------- cry
Pensive about victuals whilst starving madly. No ---------- seamen
Ever should go through famine. That's why we must ---------- stop
Relapsing into gluttony in this ship. I approve of ---------- yodeling.

Pepper spray is going to be one of the ---------- calamities
Any glutton will endure as a punishment. Thus, ---------- every
Real seafarer will chant these words now: ---------- "Bearded
Captain wants no fressing within his ship! Yes, ---------- captain!
Every single gob will ration the food. Frugality is a ---------- must!
Lashes and pepper spray those who fail shall ---------- undergo!"

Sebastian the red crab

I met a red crab named Sebastian,
Nice and funny one

Then he gave me flowers a sign of friendship
He says I look likes Ariel the princess of the Atlantic a
Eric you must be let you be my prince that’s what I say

Dance with me and he took my hand
Echo of drums sounds in a deep blue sea
Even Ursula the sea witch dance with us
Princess Ariel got surprised, oh! What is happening?

Sebastian what is all this about? I’m the princess and you haven’t invited me?
Ehh... Princess, meet my friend she’s pretty as like you
Ariel Princess of the sea looks at me, saying “I want to trade my tail for your feet”.

Blue and wide is the blanket we have spread absorbing the sun's heat,
Enamored as Romeo and Juliet we feel what they felt: an increasing heartbeat;
Anticipating soft touches, followed by ardent kisses until moonlight arrives...
Cuddled as they were, we ignore the glances of everyone taken by surprise.
Hushed words must remain whispers, if we are to satisfy our sensual needs.
Bottles filled with messages are brought in by rolling waves, is ours still unread?
Lovely seagulls gather on splashing rocks, watching a lonely lady who weeps,
Another heartbreak for someone who was happy in life, now completely sad;
Knowing the pain of betrayal, she will learn by error not to trust anyone again.
Enticed by desire, we must roll back onto that soft blanket and revive romance,
Totally unaware of our surroundings, we lose ourselves and become intense;
Beholding what others never do, we know that faithful lovers always win.
There's exceeding joy, an indefinite yearning to explore love in ways so new,
Neither the distant stars nor the close moon refuse to shine on a blanket for two;
Grand as ever is their presence, luminous and breath-taking is their gleam...
Onward they will slowly move, while we still embrace and continue to dream.

Today we set sail for the United States of America
I am on the maiden voyage on the most luxurious ship ever built
The first class cabin is absolutely wonderful,
All the passengers are so excited
New York is going to be absolutely fabulous
It’s the journey of a lifetime
Calm seas are forecast for the entire trip.

Sea and Sand

boys and girls
each has fun
as their folk
chase the sun
hot hot hot
bluest sky
lie on sand
aaaah they sigh
nice day out
kiss me quick
eat and drink
take your pick
beauties bathe
in the sea
not a care
great to see
oh praise be!

Carousel Floating

Circular motion within the blue hue upward,
As bright as the wondrous crystals below,
Reflections glare, shadowing things unheard.
Only at daybreak will we understand its glow.
Until dusk shall you see power, it does hold.
Solar orb of glory, which gives life to all,
Evangelical design drives away natures cold.
Listen you may hear the sizzle of this ball.

From winter to spring, growing closer everyday,
Living creatures await the warmth it brings.
Our hearts and minds, warmed in every way.
As it devours, the frigid cold and nature sings.
Take notice that it still warms us on days of gray.
Igniting passion, delivering precious new beginnings,
Never faltering continuing its carousel of play,
Glowing solar flares proceed above floating wings.

Summer Fun

Bountiful castles with walls of sand
Each grain an intricate part
Albatross squawk in high demand
Con morsels from those with soft hearts
Hot bodies bask in the blazing sun
Bikinis boast dangerous curves
Lifeguards patrol tanned to well done
As surfers show off their steel nerves
Nautical transports battle the swells
Kites soar aloft dot the sky
Enveloped in rays and happy kid yells
Transfers to a new level high
Blankets of color protect fragile skin
Immense weight of stress melts away
Nod off gently and try to imagine
Going to work every day
On a beach where work is like play

Inhaling The Sea

Inured of earthen reveries,
Now thoughts unfold of turquoise seas.
Heaving swells kiss morning mist
As dawn’s enlightened warmth assist,
Lifting gray from chartreuse hues,
Imbuing skies with silken blues.
Neon glints enchant the eye,
Gleaning light from algae’s ply.

Textured palettes shine below;
Hallowed reefs of life encased,
Ever housed in sea’s chateau.

Sunset couched in ocean sway,
Ease from mauve to dusk’s embrace;
All my earthbound cares, away.

Turbulent was not the sea, wonderful largest liner floated safely.
Inspired by luxurious ocean voyage, affluent passengers sailed gaily
Tension-free vessel suddenly struck by hidden ice berg. Ship at stake.
Abrupt rush of water flow flooded the deck causing ship wreck.
Not enough life boats to accommodate each innocent helpless soul.
Ill-fated Titanic sank. Most tragic event, just to count death toll.
Captain Smith prayed till last breath. Titanic ! Ocean stole.

Inhaling The Sea

In the hour just before sunrise
No one about but an occasional gull
Harbor lights shimmer through the mist
And I am drawn by the song of the surf
Long ago I was as innocent as the wind
In love with the sand and the sea, a
Notebook always at hand, I wrote of
Ginger skies, sails and the essence of me

Tomorrows have come and gone, and
Heavy the burdens of living can seem, so
Eventually I always come back to the sea

Soft the light breaking over the vast blue
Easing me into life by the emerald green bay
Again breathing deep I reflect on another day

A Christmas Love Story

Cherish the new born king
Hark the herald and
Ring the toll bells
It's Christmas time again and
Santa is on his way as the
Tinsel is strewn and mistletoes are hung
Mama got caught once again
Alone kissing a guy dressed in red
So I dashed to my window and through open the shutters
Looking upon the roof
Over and over again I somehow now
Vow to remain true in
Even believing in this little Christmas tale of a hymn
