Yuzawa, Japan / Ryokan Onsen / Fall 2008

The overcast sky wept quietly. It’s tears joining with the Earth’s breathe. Mountain peaks and ridges covered with evergreens pierced the roiling, gray firmament. Parasoled people paraded past shops, selling candied ginger and quince. Road weary tourists bathed their frozen feet in street side hot springs And, so, the day commenced.
