"Youth being the best time in life, don't squander it on trifles"~ By Poet
The gift of youth is a wondrous thing Before aches and pains the onset of age bring, Feast on the glories, God has served In goblets filled for man to be craved. Hey youngster, where do you scurry? Why are you in such frivolous hurry? Slow down your pace to look around And enjoy the marvels that surround. Aimless you wander far and wide And seldom bother to look inside. Ever be content with what you have Though denied much of what you crave. A glow of warmth when borne on your face Adds so much more to your innate grace So light up your face with radiant smiles And let your laughter ring down the aisles. Rejoice in Life and Nature’s bounteous source Never let passing trifles be your course Humble yourself and kneel down to pray For it is God who shows us the way

It's tough being an adolescent these days. I don't envy their situation. You can only hope most get to adulthood relatively unscathed. Nice one Valsa

Congratulations on your top win, Dear Valsa. How wonderfully you have rendered a wise, but poetic conversation with youngsters - hopefully some of them will understand how time passes fast, and no way we can go back to the past, and alter our lives! Love ~ Mala

It appears that in our youth, we were often driven by a sense of urgency, whereas with the passage of time and growing maturity, we have developed a heightened ability to perceive and value our surroundings. This observation reflects great insight and wisdom, Valsa.

A beautiful poem Valsa with bountiful advice to the young. I still say its all backwards. Here are we with a wealth of knowledge, and bodies too ill-equipped to use our wisdom to full advantage. There are the youth still floundering to cope in many instances, with fresh young minds and bodies( that we oldies should have !!!) Loved your poem Best of luck. SV

It seems when we are young we are in such a hurry, but now as I have gotten older I can appreciate what is around me more, very insightful, valsa~
