Your Solitude

Where ever you choose to set your fortress
You may be alone but not lonely
As the volumes of ponderous thought
Speaks within the silence
Whether the peace in the eye of the storm
Or in the reflective scents of youth
You are found but I dare not approach
Like your dreams you must fly alone
As much as your soul can carry souring light and free
Appreciating the moments of self
You are not lost in thought but found
As the pages turn and waves wash over
You may be alone but not lonely
I find you approachable but I dare not
When walking the path of solitude
I know you need this time of your own

Wow, John, wise and tender, and a beautiful read. I hope you're not mad if I quote a couple lines; not trying to parse or mess up the context. "Like your dreams you must fly alone//As much as your soul can carry..." oh that is just wicked good. If you can put up with all this, then how about some base 2 notation this morning for how I rate this poem? 1+1+1+1+1+1+1
