Listen to poem:
Your Dog is not a Pet By Bob Moore © 2017 I remember when the dog Used to be a pet Now it seems that every day More human they all get They’re dressed in shirts and pants, and hats And go everywhere you go You have to take them with you So all the world will know You're not just a doggy lover Your doggy is your friend and whatever happens you’ll be together to the end So take your selfies with your friend On Facebook they will go So everybody understands How much you love them so

:-) I am a personal assistant to a (dog, can't say it in front of him) named Skeeter. He has never requested to be dressed in human clothes, but he is very demanding. But, he is also my very good friend. Enjoyed your discourse on our doggy friends! ~ john

Thanks for the comment John, Cino never goes out dressed in clothes (I wonder if that embarresses him), and really only dresses up for photo shoots, seems to look forward to it

Your poem made me smile Bob.Just my personal opinion but I hate seeing pets dressed up in costumes, it reminds me of a child being forced to wear something they hate and they look silly. I'm fine with them wearing little coats in the rain but as for dressing up costumes - yeuk and someone is making a massive amount of money for these things for them to wear!:-( hugs Jan xx

I do agree Jan, but my granddaughter's terrier died a little while back, it was 18 years old, she had it since she was 7, now she is carried away with over loving this one... she just got married, so maybe she will have something else to dress before too long. xx
