your courage has uplifted me

you might be a pansy, but there is nothing wimpy or simple about you Your resistance to the elements has us cheering Some nights I want to cover you with a bucket to give you a bit of warmth but do I remember? Sadly, I do not. You thrive in spite of my lack of compassion. You have enough resilience for the two of us. When I look outside my window Seeing your joyful yellow and lush burgundy, I know the world is going to make it. You, pansy, have given me hope. Your courage has uplifted me and kept me moving forward.

they make me happy - this one pushed up through a concrete crack every year in my parents' driveway.
