Your Blush - Catana Rondo
Your blush was most attractive.
Did only my words do that?
Close to you from where I sat,
I was then totally captive.
My heart and mind gave combat.
I should have left you alone.
But my heart is not of stone,
and so I gave you soft chat.
Your eyes told me this dear Joan
that you liked the words I spoke.
They could neither hide nor cloak
the deep love for me well shown.
Take from me this coward’s thought,
for me so unattractive.
To flee love is repulsive,
and is with much danger fraught
Your blush was most attractive.
Did only my words do that?
Close to you from where I sat,
I was then totally captive.
