Young Ladies of Steel

Young ladies of steel showing their true grit as they prance on the narrow balance beam. Breathtaking moves, never thinking to quit; never losing site of that golden dream. Twisting with grace amid strong somersaults, impossible feats commanding the floor. Soaring past fate to complete perfect vaults, sticking their landing for a perfect score. Spinning so quickly on uneven bars, each bar another mountain to scale. Flying as on wings thru space left ajar where Olympians begin to set sail. Brave gymnasts harken to Athena's schemes, reaching on toes for their coveted dreams;

It takes a special human being to tumble, injure one's self, rise, fall, and rise again until they get it right, so we all enjoy seeing them succeed!

I remember, years ago, I think it was a Japanese male gymnast who did his whole routine with a broken foot. And not long ago, an American girl did her vault with one. They're amazing! Thanks, Rico.

They are amazing to watch Ann, they are truly dedicated gymnasts who train for hours every day. Great ambassadors for their respective countries. Tom
