You Were There.

I can understand why you came down on me that way, It was my self destructive pattern you were trying to break. So used to sabotaging all the good things in my life, I’ll fight against all my old ways; I just need your help tonight. This is all new to me, to ask for help and reach out my hand. It’s almost like a dream; I hope you don’t think of me lees a man. I’ve been out there searching for answers, Not realizing how long I had been alone. That’s when I heard you calling loudly, That’s when you got through this heart of stone. Time has watched me walk and endless grind, I never noticed before how you tried to help. Not understanding exactly what I was looking for, You were there every time I fell. My knees feel weak, there’s still fear inside of me, There are no grand illusions of what you’re bound to learn or see. I didn’t hear you; please tell me again those words you said, I’m still listening, there’s just so much going on inside my head. The time passes slowly and still you sit right here, The hour glass is broken, as you help me see things once unclear. Sometimes it’s so hard to hang on to the rungs of this ladder. When redemption is looking right at you there. Then you came along to help like time never mattered, Gracefully you showed me how you cared.
