You Turn Me On Every Day

You hold out your hand and reach for me
I am the one thing you desire
You cannot wait to turn me on
Guess you know the right buttons to press
I start to get all hot and steamy
I am the one to quench your thirst…
Where would we be without our kettle?

When I was a kid, my mother and grandmother used a contraption called a pressure cooker. Don't know if they still make those, but they were used to seal canning goods for the winter. One day, the pressure got so great, it blew the lid off, and shot it through the ceiling. That's what this poem just did to me. ;)

WOW thank you JR - got my happy muse back so I thought I would have a bit of fun:-) My mum used to have a pressure cooker - used to scare the living daylights out of me - but she made nice stew in it I remember - not seen one for years i guess the microwave has taken over:-) Hugs Jan xxx
