You Should Not Adore Me, Beloved
You should not adore me, beloved,
There is more beauty in nature,
the mountains may remain unmoved
the stars do not reveal the future,
but the emerald sea’s waves melody,
the bird of paradise’s hued plumage,
The bumblebees that kept custody
of the flowers in a wedding arrange.
Yet, if you want to bath me in gold,
Then come and join by my right side,
My arm I offer to you and if you hold
We shall bath our feet in the sea tide:
As two words together craft a sentence,
My fortune is absolute in your presence.
