You Move Me
You remind me that love,
Though messy and bothersome,
Is the light that reflects the joy,
The energy that embraces hope,
The music that plays to my heart
When I can’t find a way to smile
You remind me that peace,
Though difficult to find and hard
To understand sometimes,
Is the wisdom that brings relief
From the sorrows and the grief
From the melancholic needs,
From the past with all its secrets
You remind me that hope,
Though sometimes misunderstood,
Is the reason that I can say,
Without any doubt, there is more
To this story I write with my heart,
This journey I walk with my thoughts,
This feeling that bleeds through my
Soul…
Reminding me that there is faith
That takes away every fear,
Promises to erase the shadows,
Wipe away all my tears
And silence all the heartbreak,
The reasons that I have in my heart
For never listening to your smile,
Your peace – your hope – the love
That is the reason I will always be…
So very thankful I know you – my husband, my friend
