You Knew, Didn'T You

You knew somedy I would return But that first I must learn Not all men are unkind But some would seek my wounds to bind You knew that I would always flee Until my darkness I set free Only then would I behold The sun's warm rays are just like gold I must still admit a trace of fear If you hold me will it disappear? If I do give you my heart Promise to never tear it apart.
