You Could Save Me, Now

You could save me, now,
Babe, with you dark eyes,
The flame of this bright candle
Making me read new words,

You could save me, now,
Babe, with your long black hair,
I discover another dusty road
To escape the grand desert,

You could save me, now,
Babe, with your silent red lips,
My silly questions, tomorrow,
Always get an answer.

Reaching out to another who has the power alter our lives seems to be the theme of this brief but thoughtful poem. "you could save me, now" indicates that the writer is, at present, not being saved! Yet there is your savior, just beyond reach, but able to be seen and sensed. An element of frustration, then! Well done, poet!

We do indeed, need time, places and others for salvation, even after we are saved. We are all partners in the grand scheme, not one element to be entirely dismissed. Excellent romantic read.
