You Complete Me
I always get a rise when I see your eyes
Looking back into mine –
And am never quite sure if it’s you or me
Reflecting in the ocean of your mirror-like iris
Back in time.
Simply stated: You blow my mind!
And try as I may, I’ll never fully comprehend
The true measure of your beautiful perfection –
Or what it is you see in me that moves you
In my direction.
Simply stated: You’re my greatest predilection.
What miracles exist for this moment to persist
For you and I to live this life as one -
Eye to eye and hearts entwined
Like ribbons tied together till we’re done.
Simply stated: I love you more than earth, moon, sky and sun.
And words no longer matter
As they fall short on this page.
Unable to convey my thoughts
Of what I truly wish to say.
Simply stated: You complete me in every way.
