You Be You and I'll Be Me

i write what i call poetry 
to share with whoever will resonate

it may not be your style
then chances are it’s not for you

you may have a suggestion
i’ll gladly listen

but if you’re aiming to convert me
don’t waste your breath

i just won’t do it
i write because i need to be free to be me
