You Are the Dead Sea

You are the Dead Sea You just take and take and take Never giving back Concentrated...with your needs Buoyancy made of your pride The one who enters Cannot dive into your depths Cannot open eyes To see what resides inside To me, you are the Dead Sea I flow with my love I just give and give and give I am parched and dry Immersion is what I need You will never be a stream Eileen Manassian Ghali

Eileen, this is sad when one feels life has no doors, so they take all they can with no good intentions. I hope, my waters will always flow. a deep poem, like a waterfall...xox~ Linda

Hi Linda....Yes....obviously it is easier to get than to give, but as the good Book says....It is more blessed to give than to receive! :) Thanks for stopping by, my dear...hope all is well! Hugs!

Ferocious lines! This was almost a Slam style message. I loved this! "You will never be a stream"......only a waterfall, falling ever downward. Hell yeah!!!! =D

My dearest Eileen, your wisdom blooming, your poetry maturing, enlightenment is coming, stay fast on the Lord's road and you will never walk alone! Fantastic metaphor that hits the nail on the head! 7!

I love this metaphor you have developed. Restricted to the surface of a dead sea seems like a very superficial relationship. Excellent write.

Yes, Jon...that was what I was hoping to portray...No relationship can last if there is no reciprocity. Thanks for the lovely visit!

You're really on the ranting trail today my little Desert Orchid, Now, is this a man or a woman you're alluding to? Take care, Richard

Some people are just naturally more giving, I guess...An idea that popped into my mind. The Dead Sea is so densely filled with salt and minerals that you just float whether you want to or not. You can lie there and read a paper! ;) I guess at some time we can be a little like that. It is good to give as well. I hope the same for me! :)
