You Are the Answer - 2
Dear Lord, I ask
Do your will through me
Let me shine your light, your love
Your kindness, hope and faith from above
Let me show others the wonders
You’ve shown me through my heart
Let me give back a small portion of the joy
You’ve left inside – spilling out into my life
Reminding me that Your love is like sunshine
Always alive, always shining, always warm – pouring
Out beauty, peace and grace – a silent whisper
Of music that will erase every worry or fear, all my tears
Dear Lord, I ask
Do with me what you will
Fill my life with kind words and purpose
Make me into someone who is worthy
Show me how to give generously, liberally
Free my heart to be available to give away
Some of the wonder you’ve planted inside
A bit of the gentleness, the smiles, the delight
The inspiration, imagination and insight
All the contentment that comes from knowing
You are the answer and with You I have assurance
That this life I’m living is the one you have blessed
With the miracle of peace, promise and patience
The joy of a life that is guided by sweet faith
And sanctified by the One who made me to believe
This is the time to reach out with complete surety
That God brings so much love out of every circumstance
Filling my heart with the grace to live as He says
With a sincere appreciation for the blessings He shares
Dear Lord, I ask You
Please do your will through me
Fill me to overflowing with your word
So that I always know the difference in good and bad
So that I grow stronger through the weakness I’ve seen
So that I can see YOU in every part of my heart and soul
So that I know what it is to give from the depths of my spirit
So that I reflect on the wisdom You give so generously
So that I feel the way that You intended for me to feel
So that I let You know when I need You to heal my hurts
So that I allow You the free reign in every part of my life
So that I realize the importance of praying about everything
Dear Lord, I ask You
Please have your will, your way, in my life and heart
Fill me with understanding and hope,
Faith that never lets me doubt
The wonder of a promise who answers my worries
With assurance that I will find peace and assurance
The chance to give back to You, Lord
A bit of the love that You have bestowed
Dear Lord, I ask You
Please guide me toward the right path
Let me feel You with me in my spirit
Where I know that You will give me
The love that it takes to bring hope and grace
To someone else, someone who needs to know
That You are the one who is guiding my soul
You are the One who answers all my questions
You are the light that lingers in my silence
You are the music to free me from darkness
You are the One who makes me feel like I’m alive
Even when I’m sad, depressed or lacking faith
To find the inspiration to reach out with thanks
You, dear Lord, are the answer to my every prayer
You are the love that I carry everywhere!
Thank You, Lord… for Your embrace
Your gentleness and grace
For the love on your face
When I reach out to You with praise!
Thank You, Lord – I love YOU today and every day!
