You Are Gone
Why should I care
Would it make a difference if you were here
Your choices led you to where you are
An ugly decision that put you behind bars
Years go by
You are slipping away
The memories are fading
I am losing more of you as days go by
I am losing hope
I feel guilt and then I just want to cut
Every time I lose grip
The tears over flow
I fall to the thought of the abuse you put me through
I stop in my track and realize letting you go is the best choice for me
Moving on
Finding freedom in a new life
Letting go and being able to be at peace with myself
In a life that is letting me breathe
I do not have to be controlled anymore
I do not have to fear my life
I can have happiness in a world that is not so chaotic anymore
I can walk away and find hope in beauty and the inspiration of a new world
