Your smile was always like the sun
Lighting my heart with pleasure
Reflecting all the faith inspired by your dreams
Breathed across a sea of cobalt inspiration
Filled with intimacy that whispers praise
To the One who gave us all this love
Your embrace, when you opened your arms
Welcoming me into the folds of your warmth
Where I would come when I was feeling alone
Like a friendly thought could glimmer and send
Me lavender laughter on hues of happiness
Captured in the heart that was your gift
Your hope, alive and dancing like wildfire
Beckoned to me from the secret mirth
Riding the waves of abandon and nostalgia
Caressing me with a tender hand that calms
Flowing gentle through veins of exhilaration
Penetrating rays of breathtaking glimpses
Your wisdom, assuring me of all that I can be
Whether I long for freedom or need simplicity
Soothes me with it’s forever beating out echoes
Of visions seen brightening my thoughts, my soul
With vibrant touches of whispery mouthfuls of air
Breezes catching the thoughts with thriving prayers
Your vitality, wise and teaching me to grow
In my faith, my hope, my dreams and my beliefs
The reasons that I have for reaching out to see
If I can discover another heart who listens to the truth
Of love so alive it encompasses the entire sky
And melts away any worry, fear or doubt there is
Your life is like a tender stroke of intimate silence
Murmuring to me about the feelings I thrive on
The ones that color my heart with light and laughter
Feelings so wise that I can never imagine life without them
The love you inspire with your life is like a insight so sure
That there are seas filled with traces of their truth
You’re the one that gave me a reason to seek and find
To listen to the heart that prays for a sense of peace
To the soul who knows that love is the answer to all
Those questions I keep raising before the God I know
Will somehow answer me with light that shines so bright
It clears the way for the presence of One who has my faith
The One who you show me every time I feel your grace
Making a way for me to see that what I will find
If I choose to look on the inside of your heart
Where there is a peace that comes from a long life of
Struggle and chaos that led you to a greater assurance
Of the One who makes a way for us all, eternally
You’re the friend that has taught me I can do anything
If I simply listen to the One who holds us all in His hand
