You Are

… my moon in darkest night,
my fiery flame in candlelight
Comforting in the evening twilight
sharing dreamy days that might
bring us into future bright

… my empathic soulmate through tears
my defense against foul fears
Weathering good and bad years
following wherever Fate’s path steers
rejoicing in sweet starry spheres

… my best friend it’s true
my love for you grew
Meeting you once, I knew
loving came easy with you
now always together we two
