You and i were friends

Still stuck up in the page Where I can't escape From your words Deteriorating my worth Ain't it funny how I used to make you laugh Now I cry silently Have you forgotten The birds were meant to fly Not to stay with you Maybe I was right With 12 others might Be something about you My midnights all dark Like no steering in the car Waiting for the green sign Waiting for myself Waiting for myself Waiting for this to end You and I were friends.. Now I can't unsee How you treated me Lord just take me away I know you missed a class for me I know I wish you long dreams But you said I became free From you Wasn't true at all Waiting for me Waiting for me You and I were friends

Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
