You Bette ! ..
So , was it real cold there , in my shadow .
When M/S Midler sang , with you in mind .
When all we shared
Was the time ,we spared
And lost dreams , I still had to find .
That fickle friend named Limelight
Made you step into the shade.
As I took the bow
For the here and now
And false promises I made .
But the silent strength beside me
And protection that it brings
Was the lifting breeze of loyalty
Yes ! , the wind beneath my wings.
Like the many friends , I've found here
On this talented , varied site
As M/S Midler still reminds me
Your lifting wind still helps me write .
Do I believe it ?? ..... You Bette !! ....
