Yes It's That Time Again, No Not the One You Think Lol

Ah it’s been to long for a dose of the philosopher’s tribute He thinks some of his clerihews have led to silent rebuke It’s all done mostly in fun But he’s sure he ’s been call a phrase starting with Son No not the Son of Man He’s not atheist, but of religion not a fan Clerihew after clerihew he will dig a ditch Oh yes censored he’s the Son of the Witch Yes the west is where Wayland’s feet touch ground Not west opposed to east, but opposed to every other side of town For truly eastern thought did intrigue him much But most of his poetry doesn’t talk about the such How long will he write of himself, can Dugan’s ego last Who? Well my great grandfather, call me Dugan in the past To this day no one can truly tell me why Maybe heard-hearing was his alibi PD I haven’t written about her in, well it seems like a year I haven’t been here a year, and I avoid writing about her from fear Not really I don’t truly fear her wrath I’m not afraid of war, just of the aftermath The Poet Destroyer, yes she’s pretty clever with her alliteration I bet all the rapport she’s developed leaves a great sensation I think she needs a new nemesis, yes I feel this in my tummy I just don’t want to volunteer to be the crash test dummy Yes she’s also known as Linda or Irma, of her I’ll write one more Don’t use the later name, or you probably won’t receive a high score I thinks it’s a wonderful name that I don’t have to bear Hahaha will I share this without a scare? I must always include, Jack, no not the nimble or quick That other Jack isn’t nearly as slick He’s been writing Limericks this old bird Most of them subtly dirty word after word The Quatrain King his other muse Yes with Santa Clause, he might confuse A white beard and big jolly Smile But he’s dirty ladies don’t be in denial For the last one I’ll dub him Santa Clause here A true light at Poetry Soup, year round he spreads cheer His quatrains are fun, often used like I use the clerihew Yes almost everyday he writes a few You know I speak Spanish and usually in these include una Estrella Yes un alma, that’s soul, that’s very beautiful, or bella Far from grace I think I fell Maybe all the way to heck, haha, that didn’t rhyme well *** As always, these are 90% in fun, and this particular one is 100% done in fun, I think I need some new characters though. Any voluntears, Volun-tears haha. Ah come on just volunteer someone else lol. By the way if you're reading this on a mobile device the format may not show correctly.

LOL... that was some fun reading, enjoyed this a lot however in the line, "Yes she’s also know as Linda or Irma" should it not be 'known'... i still loved your expression of art as always.

Ok sorry just replied to this, but I was actually waiting until I made the correction, and thanks for pointing it out. I hadn't forgotten just got sidetracked. Thanks for reading and your very wonderful comment.

Most entertaining! I'm sure they all will be honored by this piece. I wrote one a while ago called Jack outside the box. Not a cherilew because I have no idea what that is . I will have to learn more about what this form is about. Bravo my friend they should call it a chuckle-lew.

The greatest thing about the clerihew is it's simplicity. First line includes a person usually or proper noun, it can be a humorous nickname whatever. The clerihew is used for humor, to make one of aspects or characteristics of a person in fun. The rhyme is aabb. A four line poem that's it. I'm sure you've already read that by now though. Thanks for your comment.

This is ironic because I used a Crash Test Dummy on the cover of my book and one of my poems in the book is called Johnny Crash.
