Yellow Ribbons

Yellow ribbons furl
on oaks that line our driveway
as we await your return.
Their luster's now pale,
reflecting the challenged hope
of a son you’ve never met.

Howdy and congrats...I am with Samuel...this should be the PS's example of sedoka! You encompassed the undying hope of a mom and her " special surprise" for her soldier...this really speaks volumes to my heart. Love how you showed the passed of time with the worn luster...brilliant work as always. Love, Gwendolen

Carolyn, you just never cease to amaze me with what you can do. This should be PS's example under the forms section, for Sedoka. I think it is that good. Congrats on winning PD's contest..................S.Ronthorpe
