Yearning

Every year she waits for spring
A proposal…jewelled ring
And the joy that those would bring…

Swept by winter’s cold…to hope she’ll cling.

"Yearning" for Spring and a ring. Oh, my ! I can feel the longing within, that sweet ache to embrace the beauty of spring, and to feel a love that's never-ending. Your thoughts caress softly around me. This is beautiful and tender, all at the same time. :) Hugs, Brandy

It seems that this poor lady is doomed, wrapped up in her selfish, greedy egotistical cloaks, she had better keep them, for she will never know the warmth of the sun, and lasting love and the brightness it brings, as she clings to lost hope. Great poem, and best of luck in the contest my friend. Hugs, warm regards and blessings, Jennifer
