Yearn

"Yearn with passion so the world sees the sparks fly! ~ by poet

Where’s that intensity in your longing?
Where’s that passion in your love?
Where’s that fervor in your devotion?

There’s no yearning left in the romance
There’s no potency in the prayers
There’s no aching of the heart
No desperation in the soul,
No lure of the muse
There are no enchanting spells,
The flame doesn’t burn with the vigor
to draw moths to its light—
I see the earth smoldering silently
and my world turns to ashes…

Yearn, O my heart, yearn with gusto!
