Yeah I Got Issues

Although you have no idea, I bet you think you do Someone once gave you a description so you thought you always knew Or perhaps you were diagnosed and told you had it too Whatever the case may be and whatever you choose to believe Don't compare struggles with me. I feel things you don't see I have not one second free and try so desperately To work through this debris, leaving each task complete My battle is my own, it's become my second home I fight it all alone, while you toss sticks and stones Does it make you feel more grown, to flaunt the way you've shone Or do you see me as a dog, undeserving of a bone At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter You do what you need to self flatter But when love and respect are involved It stings a bit, I must admit You don't believe in me at all

The title drew me in. The Torch Song lyrics draw me through and out again. Just add Stephen Sondheim and an orchestra and you are ready for the big stage of and for those calling out all forms of disrespected life. Standing ovation. Gerald Oliver
