Yasabel

Yasabel By the waves and salty sea That falls on shores so close to me By the battles Thus fallen comrades go By the hills and by the lowlands I wander looking for bluebells and heather hearts By the way of sea or by way of land Tiss the bagpipes that make me stand Be they Gods of Christ or Celtic times I pray me soul find peace in boggs remote with wine Yasabel her breast held me close long ago Her heart was the only I ever did know Too and fro like the waves and the wind By and by, time erodes the youth once then Now, alone, if only love and the orange of me life She swept me deep, while I battled long In the highlands now I roam Ashamed that I roam here all alone When the heather bloomed And the bluebells sang I was away in foreign sands If only, if only I had held your hand Yasabel of another time You are the one that was always and forever Always on my mind

So extremely romantic. The highlands.Oh I wouldnt mind roaming alone there.Nature is a lover in itself....I cant wait to roam free again..there up Glencoe mountain..Swim in the River Ness...Walk along Fort William's shore. I so love those Highlands..A fave. Arthuro.

A sad tale of lost love Arthur. I spent a year in Glasgow training to become a midwife in 1980. I was back ten years ago to do a 1,000 mile solo circut in a week. Loved the scenery. Love the song.

Hi Arthur, this is a beautiful write my friend. This write does take me on a journey. I take the Celtic road on this piece. A wondertul journey. This is a wonder of a poem Arthur. We always remember our roots Arthur, or those places we have always wished to be, whether they are now or in a far distant past. This write does bring a Celtic light into my mind, a dream arises and my inner core somes alive. Excellent work Arthur. This is a definite seven and a fave....Mike.
