I think we had similar fare in the U.S. during the war years...perhaps everything except the rose hip relish...not sure about that one! I remember as a child, butter was in short supply, and we had this big package of white margarine that came in plastic or cellophane, like a pillow. My mother would give it to us kids to knead it until a little tablet of yellow mixed in to make it look like butter....a million years ago...such a vague memory but wonder if anyone else remembers fake butter??
