Wrong, Sir

You’re always here with me Yet you’ve not heard a word I’ve said I’ve forgotten how to just be Can’t you get out of my head? All I want to do is think And all I feel is dread You appear in just a blink Just please get out of my head. You’re here You’re there And at the same time nowhere. I can’t take it much longer If only I were stronger I’d force you from my thoughts Can’t you see it’s just wrong, sir? There is no escape Even late at night in my bed It’s something I’ve begun to hate I just can’t get you out of my head. I brush my hair I go to work I worry about what I wear You make me feel stupid To embarrassment I’ve been led Yet I don’t even know what I did Just get out of my head! You’re here You’re there And at the same time nowhere I can’t take it much longer If only I were stronger I’d force you from my head It’s all just so wrong, sir.

This is for Paul Stacey - Thank you for taking the time to read my poem and comment on it. In this poem I was talking about the effects that sometimes the person we love can have on us. In this case, I was speaking about the metaphorical "him" in my life who was driving me crazy because he was constantly in my head. Thus the reference to "sir". I hope this clears up any confusion there may be :)
