With a heart, heavy from sorrows
Walking in the field of woe, the darkness
Falling like the weight of regret, softening
Colors so hollow, hues in faded grays,
Blushing thoughts filled with shadows,
Dread like an ache, powerful – it bleeds
Through the past, through the promise,
Over the laughing sunflowers, honoring
Summer with their July moon and the gentling
Blues, like a sense of life’s calming …
With a soul, dancing like the stardust
Kisses, glistening reflections from fireflies,
Lifting the spirit and remembering forever
Trembling through the wind, the rain…
Hope soaring across the still, cool silence
In moonbeam dresses, alive with the caress
Soothing away the aching past, the melancholy
Angry thunder, lightening dressed like fire,
Burning away the despair, encouraging the spirit
To bow, kneeling in silence – to the kindness,
God’s Son – He shines His light over the earth,
Stirring up the richest compassion, the grace
That destroys the doubt and feeds hope, faith –
Love that is like a salve, wiping away the fear,
Silencing the lingering tears and remembering…
It is this, His kiss from the heavens, from bliss
Where love kindles a beautiful that pours out its
Wonders through the heart and soul –
It is this, His kiss that reassures and encourages
The blessings to rain forth, stirring the dreams,
The hopes, the memories and the serenity that knows…
God is in control – God abides, forever One with the
Son, the Holy Spirit … forever writing faith through the soul
Who knows the meaning of true love, the meaning…
is in the heart who believes in Jesus, the eternal Son!
