Freshening
of the chair-wherewithal
I sit and meet
the stewing news
with hearty meat and veg
The idleness
unspoken here -
here I right
no wrongs
I just belong
to the sect
that sits upon
the court that no one hears
I write
of unimportant
matters that are detained
chained to a box
a talking box
How strange
our ancestors 
would find the lies
between the perfect
teeth
of time
though linked
to an intersectional ginormous behind

Vickey Rhymer May 7, 2022 at 9:44 PM Thanks Kim enjoyed your poem and wonder why we put off what we really want to say and fill the air with prattling small talk .What questions are we holding within us till the ones with the answers are gone. You would think we never learned to TALK at all.I am trying to do better and find people find it quite off putting to go beyond nonsensical nattering.
