Writing Poetry,
Writing Poetry,
(Was God’s Calling)
Miracle Man
8/ 1968-11/11/2024
God heard my prayer
as tears began to flow.
Twas more than whispered words
I was saying that day.
From those simple words
God set my heart aglow.
Giving me a new heart
no longer that of clay.
His pardon, the why, or how,
I didn’t understand.
But immediately I knew
He had work for me to do.
Writing poetry wasn’t found
on life’s bucket list I’d planned.
But I felt God’s calling,
vowing, until life is through.
God has used my health,
to be a witness of His might.
To demonstrate His greatness
He leaves me feeling blessed.
I’ve harbored no misgivings,
for any of my life’s plight.
The things I’ve overcome,
were just another God test
I’ve had Cancer, knees replaced,
and Severe Spinal Stenosis.
The Widow Maker, Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
and Myelopathy being my last
Given little hope of surviving S.C.A.
was a medical team’s prognosis.
to Jesus’ nail scarred hand,
today, I still hold fast.
Doctors Had done all they could do and
told my wife “pray, it is in God’s hands.”
I’ve been told that I shouldn’t be here
And Miracle Man was born.
I do my best at writing but feel so unworthy
but I vowed to do this until death,
because this is God’s calling for my life.
