"a poet steers life's ship as master at its helm by embracing writing as a new lover's kiss" No doubt poetry can make us forgetful of the harsh realities and heal our wounds. Through troubled seas, a poet can steer his vessel...and poetry is his compass. Pain shared is halved and joy shared is doubled. With our pen, as we scrawl down our pent up feelings, this is what happens. Beautiful thoughts !

Thank you my friend. Yes, we write oft to unburden our souls. Or to unleash the healing within us as we face the dark world and its tragic events. Choosing a well lit path that denounces evil is a very wise choice. God bless.

Your wonderful thoughtful poetry had me thinking Robert: My take on things is that poetry can release the pent up emotions inside - a first step forward in the healing process. It can provide a vehicle for the writer to be heard and understood and enable the author (and the reader) to reflect and help learn to love again. I loved the upbeat ending after your exploration. Cheers - Gary

Thank you my friend. I find that often my racing to write serves as therapy, a healing balm. With the hope my writings may help others, comes the gift that -giving brings to those that give and sincerely pray that others may somehow benefit from that act of giving. God bless..

Thank you my friend. Reading and writing go hand in hand. A poet should be reading other poets as that is a huge part of learning or gaining more knowledge- of becoming a better writer, etc. We all know time is the enemy of most writers-of most poets --even those poets that are paid to write.. Dedication to the Art of Poetry is a must. I've spent over 50 years writingh- had a few breaks in that run-but always I fought and came back to the lifelong journey. God bless.

Thank you my friend. This world operates within a dark and evil sphere. Mankind too oft goes with that flow. We as we mature make countless decisions involving our relationships- thus we may find love, joy and pleasure and sadly we may also find loss and heartbreak. Writing poetry can be and oft is a healing balm. And allows us to see life more clearly. To understand ourselves and others better. God bless..
