Writers Block

With pad and pen
I'm prepared to write
Empty thoughts again
Don't feel right
But pursue I will
And fill this pad
Like Shakespeare's quill
With tales of the lads
But the more I strain
To find the words
My head starts to pain
Thoughts are not heard
A world full of theme's
To get inspired
Maybe my dreams
From when I'm tired
As I look down
My hand starts to shake
A picture of a crown
From squiggles I make
Is that a sign?
From my thought science
Just write a line
See if it makes sense
Time is ticking fast
With no progress
Maybe a title or cast
To get me through this mess
Should I give it a while
No need for pace
With a disappointed smile
I'll watch this space
You cannot force it
Again and again
Like a tight corset
So put down the pen
