This was an idea for contest but I failed as I can't get the format

Woven worlds of women Stitched together by pleasure and pain Colorful quilting language But at the core the subject the same How to make something from nothing How to surf the teal tides of life How to get lost in need Of solitude and be free without losing mind Woven worlds of women Giving birth to nations Nurturing despite womb empty Or full of babies a celebration Stringing along the men In a temporary dress that will disappear Becoming an apron a coat of hope A chameleon facing fuchsia fear Not needing a gun using eyes to shoot Down denial of choice and voice This woven world is a fabric of life Where men and women must unite To create and save life

You have portrayed women as powerful, but not without fear. She is capable of swimming the teal tides of life. Your concluding lines state a universal truth- like the warp and woof of a fabric, the united strength of men and women is needed to build a better world. Beautiful poem dear Karen.
