Bursap another example of my mom's butchering
Of the english language.She really was a funny woman.One time she told me "I used to be a good looking woman .Now I'm ugly as a mud fence.Never saw a mud fence., but it does sound ugly don't it?She was definitely a woman not to be reckoned with.I saw her pull a pistol on my dad twice.The first time when he argued for a spit bath
before her dad's funeral with a drawn tub and clothes she had layed out as well.The second when
a teenage son got in some trouble and he said he was not going to court with my mom as per the lawyers suggestion.He said he had told his boys they better never get into trouble.He relented both times.They would never be mistaken for Ward and
June.The Beaver needs us to provide a supportive

Any the way back to how I was done wrong.The old rug trick. I had been sick from Tuesday to Thursday.Upper respiratory which kind of goes with the lay of the land around here.Sort of a swamp.Spring has always been tough.So my teacher calls Thursday to ask if the alternate will need to take my place in the spelling bee.I am in my mothers presence saying no,I am feeling much better and will be there tomorrow.This was a big deal for me for several reasons.I worked hard to
make the teem.It was held at a local television station,The Breakfast Show.I had gone last year but we lost because the girl who is the alternate this year misspelled headache.We had a much better team since Kathy Isom moved to town.We really had a shot at beating St.Marys.I would have drug me there in a full body cast.No sooner do I hang up then my mom says your not going anywhere tomorrow.You haven't been to school all week(misrepresentation I went on Monday)so you can stay home tomorrow as well.One minute your in. The next your out.On your feet oops on your seat.The old rug trick.I argued to no avail.What lesson was being proffered?That you can't even trust your own mother?That ship sailed long ago.
So what you want to talk about now?How about the time I set fire to the garage?Well it happened this way,my brother had made the top of it into his clubhouse.He and his pals hung out there alot.A ladder nailed below the front
Window let them come and go.I was told to keep out.This only served
to make me want to go in.One day while he was away I did just that.The sole furnishings was a quilt ,a bench car seat,and playboy magazines.......later
