Aiming to embellish my identity
Rural persona branches further
Tight city existence not meant for me
Open road invites life changing excursion
Ten acre bush block gets me excited
Paradise mine for a mere hundred grand
Noted as 4WD only access, I experimented
Dismayed when my vehicle stalled in sand
Canopy thriving centre to various birds
Gravel delivered gives access to tranquility
Aligned with nature, soul's meaning observed
Realisation finds brimming artistic ability
Assessing trees on acquired acerage pristine
Earmarked half, sadly, for necessary removal
Purchased caravan, temporary living regeime
Cross shape house plans submitted for approval
Whilst planning changes to provide comfort
Eagerly distracted from alternate residences
Without job, several hundred thousand in debt
Two coastal apartments remain untennanted
Bought both a few years ago, aged sixty, not hesitating
Metropolis convenience was ideal locale for me
Antics of alcohol fuelled night owl neighbours indicating
Intolerance for romp stomping in my proximity
Bush block driveway, carport, water tanks
Installed at mate's rates by generous local
I politely request an end to his innane banter
so I may settle in to my country creative flow
Located snake compels call for his help reoccurring
Alone afterwards, I beckon my heart's serenity
Well versed chakras expand, peace preferring
Getaway offers zone for expressive opportunity
First fortnight brings bouts of monotonous boredom
Browsing sale listing's, a beachside caravan available
Ballina beaches tempting, haven't yet explored them
Asking price only ten tiny grand, - irresistible!
Caravan sold equipped with bedding, fridge, kettle
Not the sort, unfortunately, to display my style unique
Extensive travel finds sale of furniture and apparel
Transported to rented storage shed for following weeks
After a month of Ballina council frustrating debate
Their insisted decision made concrete apparent
The Park, due for development, van sale can't be made
Despondent I search, swamped in disappointment
Disturbed by nocturnals, in apartments I spring an idea
To soundproof ceiling, become insular quarantined
from the late hour lunacy unsettling my ears
Quoted fifteen grand for each - a price obscene!
Returning to diminished bushland block
Expertly angled photos will ensure rapid sale
Requiring retail therapy, I drive to village shops
Acubras only hats stocked, I'm after a flirty beret
