Work and Work In Time
Long ago there lived a mortal
Poor was he and named Morraine
His mother and sister -the only beings
All they lived in a rough terrain.
Morraine sat for days idle
Their existence became thread bare;
His mother tried her words to remove the sequel-
But the poor chap sat seeing day-mares.
The day of disaster came withuot late-
His mother of illness met her fate;
Work and not idleness could set things right;
Was what she said before loosing the worldly fight.
The very words went through like sharp pin-
Morraine realised his committed sin;
"What blunders were those I committed !
Through toils would set up myself", he said.
After days of working hard and good-
Success kissed Morraine's foot;
"Oh! If only had I done it early-
Of illness and for money mother wuld'nt have left so quickly."
Listen to elders --they have the wisdom
Work hard -you will be the king of your kingdom;
And working in time saves losses a lot;
Are the three themes in this poem through the story-subtle and short.
