Words Spoken

Words. Spoken. In anger. Weapons of pain, causing wounds within. Where scars remain unseen, though the hurt will linger on. Kept hidden behind eyes that smile, amid shadows where no one can see. A heart still bleeding, that will never heal.

"Sticks and stone may break my bones, but words can never hurt me?" is about as useful as an Our Father . . . . Aloha!
