Words of Life

When times have done their best to bind
All joy for living from my mind
When careful plans they all unwind
And peace is just too hard to find

When days have turned my dreams to dust
And treasured things have gone to rust
And when it seems that there are just
Too few around that I can trust

Then words of life you give to me
True and tender, strong and free
They bring me back and let me see
The plans of love you have for me

I didn't think I'd ever find
Someone so good, Someone so kind
But it is so, you have designed
peace for my heart, peace for my mind

There are no words to thank you, Friend
New joy, new peace to me you send
My life you've chosen to defend
And offer love that has no end

And words of life you give to me
True and tender, strong and free
They bring me back and let me see
The plans of love you have for me.
