Huge woolly mammoths have long been extinct Why create creatures that are to T-Rex linked? They were frozen in ice Don't remake them from mice Am I clear or should I be more succinct?

Lin, we're tinkering with some pretty potent aspects of nature. I saw pictures of the mice. So, it seems we're on the verge of being able to bring back many extinct creatures. While that could be a good thing, the habitats for these creatures may not exist anymore. I suppose people would pay to see these animals in a zoo, that is a very Jurassic Park happening. It might be better to make certain many of the species we have now (including us) don't become extinct because of our own foolishness.

It's a scary thought, Duke, but accurate. What in the heck makes anyone think prehistoric animals... good or bad could coexist with us today? Such are the ways of human minds that this kind of craziness is taken seriously and has been underway. Geeze, you're right about humans not getting along with humans, and it grows worse each day.

Dear Lin, I saw the pictures the other day and it is almost like we are creating a Jurassic Park movie with the real thing. Shocking!! I love your Limmerick and I hope that we take heed!! Now pass me the cheese!! Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

It's exactly like that, Daniel. If global warming and all it's repercussions aren't killing us off quickly enough, let's make a few T-Rex creatures to hurry it along. Or, maybe a raptor in every kitchen. That scene is Jurassic Park is one I'll never forget. Thanks for your thoughts, Daniel.

Ecclesiastes made that clear. Thanks very much, Vie. I'm doing ok... thanks for asking. Hope you had a great day yesterday.

Totally agree with this Lin. Better to let sleping dogs or in this case Mammoths lie. Perhaps Jurassic Park will become a reality. I hope not

Surely, such creatures don't belong in today's world. I loved the movie but don't want to live in it for real. lol Thanks, Oliver.

I agree, you do not do something just because you can.

It's crazy, Jerry. Money spent to recreate extinct mammoths. To what end? I'm left wondering where they got the DNA. Thanks for reading me.

Their time and money would be better spent doing something for mankind instead of playing John Hammond. Tom

Yep. Even he realized his mistake. Maybe they can make a few raptors and send them to the White House

I seen this on the news yesterday Lin, you were obviously watching it too lol! Imagine the amount of cheese these hybrid Mice/Mammoths would eat, and you would need a crane to lift a trap into your house if one took up residence haha, Brilliant fun limerick, cheers David

OMG David! I'm still laughing at your take on the cheese. Mammoths were plant eaters. I'm reminded of the scene in Jurassic Park when the little bro tells his sister not to be afraid of the Brontosaurs because they weren't meat eaters. What is to gain by having them here again? What next? T-Rex? We already have a T-Rump tromping on everyone like he rules... a meat eater! We're not in the prehistoric era, or are we on the verge of descending into tar pits?

Really... why would we want woolly mammoths roaming the earth again? HAHA Here's a thought. Maybe T-rump ordered scientists to bring them back because a modern-day pachyderm isn't frightening enough, and he wants them to represent the GOP. Such a wooly bully tactic!
