Woodpecker Tap-Tapping

There was a woodpecker whacking,
Continuous sound nerve-racking.
Distressed in the mind,
Making my teeth grind,
Tap-tapping will send me packing.

Standing outside, I clapped my hands,
Sending him off to no-man's land.
But no, he just sat,
And started to tap.
His tapping, how will I withstand?

Reads like a winner to me..Those Woodpeckers can be annoying especially if one is trying to sleep and the Peckers has found an aluminum pole on which to tap...I got a chuckle thinking about that Woodpecker..Thanks for stopping by..I am glad that it brought back a memory for you..Sara
