Well, being from the deep south, I can't say I have had the opportunity of a snow driven dream; but I can hope! Lol hello David.

We don’t see too much of the stuff here in Dublin either FJ, but never stopped me dreaming of a whiteout as a kid, still the dream came true on occasion, cheers David

Of a white Christmas, spare a thought for Buffalo, 6 feet of snow fell in the last few days, brrr!

Dear David, I remember this enchanting wish.. that the snowstorm would surely deliver enough snow overnight to cancel school in the morning and have the whole day to play in the snow. Indeed, your beautiful poem captures this child’s dream of a snow day with lovely imagery. Congratulations for your excellent win in Brian’s contest. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Heya Susan, indeed this one was always about trying to find the right balance of imagery, in a short verse, I’m delighted you deem it worthy for a day off school, cheers David

I was always wonder struck by snow falling Anaya, especially when it started to accumulate and miraculously change the surroundings, cheers David

Snow is never in my dreams…. Not having it in my neck of the woods but I give praise to your artistic ability.

Heya Jenna, this one is more from my schoolday pov, dreaming of a heavy snowfall, and snow days, even though they were very fleeting, my artwork needs a little brushing up, cheers David

Don't seem to get the winters like we used to have, remember when it was really deep and the country ground to a halt and best of it was schools were closed. Tom

You’re not wrong Tom, even the flakes are smaller nowadays, I remember a full week off school, those were the days, cheers David

Thanks Milton, I think the child is dreaming of a snow day tomorrow, and all the fun that comes with it, with a little metaphor perhaps embedded, cheers David
