Jack Frost is lurking; he’s nipping my nose
feather like snowflakes will soon start to fall
I stamp my feet - I can now feel my toes
winter will wrap her cloak around us all.
Soon I snuggle by the warming log fire,
outside the garden’s turning snowy white.
I watch the flames leap higher and higher
winter’s beauty is a glorious sight.
Children make snowmen in the falling snow
I watch them play; they are having such fun.
Their innocent faces are all aglow,
they stay outside until the day is done.
When winter departs, then in rushes spring
I love the changes each season will bring
