Without You

Pardon my temerity to disagree Never should I speak my point of view Refuse any notion of value in me Extinguish my worth and my self-esteem, too How dare I believe my own eyes and see What skies are possible, without you. 4/19/20

This is amazing, Michelle. You handled the challenging form with such ease, yet your message is so affirming of self-sufficiency. Sadly this authoritarian kind of attitude is all too common in relationships. Thank you for standing against it in your unique ironic style. Congrats on your #1 placement, my 'artistry sibling'! ~ John

Europeans quickly notice the American propensity to deride their spouse in public rather than demonstrate pride or esteem. Is that a consequence of slavery? Whatever the reason, no one should endure derision from a "loved" one! Thank you for speaking up! Aloha! Rico

Gosh this one really packs a punch in so many ways Michelle, so often abuse can be mental rather than physical its just the scars are on the inside not the outside. very powerfully penned!:-) hugs Jan xx
