Without a Whisper

I sit all dovish
on the brink of serene light
reflecting on nights’ deep dark

secrets held tightly
verdant lake’s icy cold depths
air disturbs not a whisper

stars glow lucently
cradled in a raven sky
humbled by such lush vastness

thoughts halt completely
float upon an angel’s wing
I’m filled with heavens beauty

The night sky has captivated me since I was a youth living in the desert in California where they seemed as if you could pluck one from the sky. Thanks for your read and words.
